ABOUT
WILL HAYS
I am a film production and screenwriting student at Loyola Marymount University (LMU) School of Film and Television.
Together with my close filmmaking peers, I have written and directed short films that have been recognized at both national and international student film festivals and competitions, including earning the Silver Key Award from the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards and the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers, an arts competition held through the National Endowment for the Arts.
Additionally, I was a Quarter-Finalist at the Student World Impact Festival, a Semi-Finalist at the Student Los Angeles Film Awards, a Finalist at the Santa Barbara Indie Film Festival, and I received a nomination for the Emerging Talent Award (with co- director, Brody Gibbs) at the All American High School Film Festival in New York City.
This past summer, I studied Global Cinema, Screenwriting and Film Restoration in Bologna, Italy in Association with Il Cinema Ritrovato and in Partnership with Martin Scorsese's The Film Foundation World Cinema Project.
Film is my passion. I genuinely love making movies. It's what I want to do with my life.
